How Does it Work?
Too darn easily is how! Simply select the race that you want to enter a prediction for and complete the form by selecting your choices from the drop-down lists.

  1. You must be logged into the site in order to have your prediction saved. If you are a Registered Member, go login now using the form in our sidebar. If you are just visiting and want to take part, register a free FormulaFan account now by completing the form here.
  2. Pole Time is the official lap time of the pole position driver at the end of Qualifying. This must be entered in the format MM:SS.ccc- Include the leading zero on the minutes, a colon (:) between minutes and seconds, a point (.) between seconds and hundreths, and three digits for the parts of a second. (e.g. 01:35.105)
  3. Pole time points are awarded for a variance on either side of the official time (i.e. higher or lower).
  4. “Fastest Lap” refers to the driver who completes the fastest race lap during the Grand Prix.
  5. You can submit predicitions for any of the available races. There will generally be two or three listed throughout the season.
  6. You can alter your predictions as often as you’d like to up to the start of Qualifying for a Grand Prix. Predictions are locked in as they stand at the start of the scheduled Qualifying Session as displayed by the countdown clocks’ “Next prediction deadline”. Delays in the session will not extend the prediction time deadline.

How You Score Points:

  • Pole time within 0.00% = 50 Points (0.00% of 01:30.000 = an exact match)
  • Pole time within 0.25% = 25 Points (0.25% of 01:30.000 = a 0.225 second difference)
  • Pole time within 0.50% = 10 Points (0.50% of 01:30.000 = a 0.450 second difference)
  • Pole time within 1.00% = 5 Points (1.00% of 01:30.000 = a 0.900 second difference)
  • Pole time within 1.50% = 2 Points (1.50% of 01:30.000 = a 1.350 second difference)
  • Pole Position driver correct = 10 Points
  • Fastest Race Lap driver correct = 10 Points
  • A driver in correct position = 10 Points (e.g. Predicted 2nd, finishes 2nd)
  • A driver finishes 1 off position = 5 Points (e.g. Predicted 1st, finishes 2nd)
  • A driver finishes 2 off position = 2 Points (e.g. Predicted 3rd, finishes 1st)
  • Bonus points for 3 drivers in the correct finishing order = 25 Points
  • Bonus points for 2 drivers in the correct finishing order = 15 Points
